What

The DE Intelligence Platform is an MCP server that makes Discovery Education's curated K-12 resource library available inside any AI-powered tool. Teachers using Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT, or Gemini can search for content, pull video transcripts, look up standards across Common Core, NGSS, and state frameworks, and discover related resources to support lesson planning, classroom prep, and whatever else they need. The server also powers AI features inside DE products, with Helix as the first client.

Why

Teachers are already using AI tools for lesson planning, resource discovery, and more. Without a direct connection, those tools can't surface DE content and instead point teachers toward generic web results. This puts our library at their fingertips, right where they're already working. On the product side, it gives DE apps like Helix a standardized way to offer AI-powered content discovery without building custom search integrations from scratch.

Success Looks Like

Teachers on any major AI platform can search, discover, and link to DE content as a natural part of lesson planning and their broader workflow. Helix ships with MCP-powered content discovery as the first product integration. Adoption shows up as growing authenticated MCP sessions and increased engagement flowing back into the DE platform.

Who's It For

Teachers and instructional coaches who use AI assistants for lesson planning, finding standards-aligned resources, and other daily work. Also DE product teams building AI features into their applications, starting with Helix as the first consumer.
