Toggles Upgrades
Rebuild Toggles as a modern experimentation platform in Atlas Apps, enabling multi-variant A/B/n testing on the new Home EFP.
What
Move Toggles out of Atlas (digital-asset-management) and into Atlas Apps, rebuilding the workflow and UI/UX from the ground up. The new interface supports defining variants, audience targeting, and running A/B — and multi-variant (A/B/C/D) — experiments against Home EFP on the Helix platform.
Why
The current Toggles interface is dated and buggy, and it lives in the wrong place — Toggles is product/app configuration, not content management, so Atlas Apps is the right home. Meanwhile, the new Home EFP needs real experimentation capability, and today we can't run A/B tests on it at all. This unblocks data-driven decisions on the highest-traffic surface in the product.
Success Looks Like
Toggles fully migrated to Atlas Apps with no loss of existing functionality
Multi-variant (2+) experiments can be created, targeted, launched, and rolled back without engineering involvement
At least one live A/B test running on Home EFP with measurable results
Reduction in Toggles-related bug reports and support requests
Time to launch a new experiment drops from [current baseline] to under [target]
Who's It For
Product managers and product owners who need to launch and iterate on experiments without engineering support; engineering teams who currently maintain and work around the legacy interface; and ultimately end users, who get a Home experience validated by real data rather than assumption.
